Her single-minded devotion to Krishna, expressed through singing and dancing, was considered scandalous by royal standards, but Mirabai remained unwavering in her love.
Persecution and Divine Protection
Mirabai faced severe persecution from her in-laws who tried to stop her devotional practices. According to tradition, they attempted to poison her and harm her in various ways, but Krishna protected her miraculously each time.
Eventually, she left the palace and became a wandering saint, visiting Vrindavan and Dwarka, singing Krishna's glories wherever she went.
